Tad Weiss
A lifelong Midwesterner, Tad Weiss went to college in Minnesota and has lived there ever since. He works as a Certified Financial Planner and is the President of Modus Advisors, LLC, a registered investment advisory firm. He has served on the board of directors for Feed My Starving Children and was their chairman from 2011 to 2014. His hobbies are centered around sports, skiing, golf, and fitness. He has completed four marathons and numerous triathlons, including the inaugural IRONMAN Wisconsin in 2002, and he’s excited to compete at the event again in 2022. Tad resides in Victoria, Minnesota, with his wife Wendy, and their dog, Corby. Their daughter, Maggie, and son-in-law, Paul, live nearby, and their son, Peter, lives in Denver.
Maggie Swanson
Maggie Swanson was born and raised in Minnesota. She works as a Certified Financial Planner at Modus Advisors, LLC. Her passion for long-distance sports began when she was seven, when she accompanied her dad on his long runs riding her bike. Maggie’s love of endurance racing continued to grow. She has completed the Twin Cities Marathon twice, placed 5th in the 20-24 age group at the USA Triathlon National Championships in 2017, and finished 17th at the ITU World Age Group Triathlon the same year. Maggie finished 10th in her first full-distance triathlon at IRONMAN Wisconsin in 2021, and she is a top amateur triathlete in Minnesota. She’ll be back at IRONMAN Wisconsin again in 2022, racing with her dad and raising money for the IRONMAN Foundation and three other charities. Maggie lives in Excelsior, Minnesota, with her husband, Paul, and their puppy, Hobie.
