Emma Abrahamson
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Emma embraced an active lifestyle beginning at a very early age. She started her athletic journey as a competitive swimmer at the age of 4. She officially made the switch over to running full time after consistently winning the local Jr. Carlsbad mile races with very little formal training. Once she made the switch, she never looked back!
Emma joined the San Diego Road Runners youth running club and competed at the national Junior Olympic level. In high school, she was one of the most successful runners in San Diego County and in the state of California, and was also ranked in the top 20 nationally. Emma made the decision to take her love for running to the next level by choosing to run for her dream school, the University of Oregon. At Oregon she earned a spot on the travel team all 4 years and helped her team win the NCAA Cross Country National Championship in 2016. One day in the summer of 2017, Emma decided to film a “Day in the Life of a D1 Runner” and upload it to YouTube. Before she knew it, she was running around at meets “vlogging” her senior year at Oregon while building up a running following on YouTube. After graduating in 2018 with a degree in Business and Sports Management, Emma has documented her overall post-grad experience and her relationship with running. Right now, Emma is training for her first marathon ever – the Chicago Marathon in October.
