Bio from HOKA NAZ Elite
Krissy grew up in Fort Myers, Florida where she was a six-time state champion on the track. After a successful beginning to her college career at Furman University that included a trip to the World U20 Championships in the steeplechase, Krissy transferred to the University of Arkansas where she received a bachelors degree in sociology and a graduate degree in operations management and supervision.
Krissy joined HOKA NAZ Elite in the summer of 2022. She was part of the group’s third place team finish at the USATF Club Cross Country Championships in December. Then she kicked off her 2023 indoor track season with a win and facility record (2:40.66) at the University of Nebraska Graduate Classic in the 1,000 meters and a win and PB (2:04.63) in the 800 meters. Two weeks later she won the mile at the BU Terrier Classic in a PB of 4:29.67, and week after that she won the second heat of the 800 at the BU Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational in another PB (2:02.95). She finished her indoor season in fine fashion with a third-place finish in the 1500 meters at the USATF Indoor Championships.
Krissy kicked off her 2023 outdoor season in style with a win at the BAA Invitational Mile on Boston Marathon weekend. She followed that up with yet another win–this time in the steeplechase at the ON Track Fest in May. She was runner-up in the 1500 at the USATF Distance Classic and at the HOKA Festival of Miles. Then, at the 2023 USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships, she won the steeplechase–securing her first national title and a trip to the World Championships.
Krissy began her collegiate career at Furman University where she was an NCAA qualifier in both cross country and track and a Southern Conference Champion. She transferred to the University of Arkansas in 2020 and flourished immediately, winning an SEC title in the DMR that winter. In 2021 she was the individual SEC champ in the indoor mile, second at the NCAAs in that same event, and part of the NCAA championship team in the distance medley relay. Outdoors she was fifth in the 1500 meters in 2021 and fourth in 2022. She finished her NCAA eligibility with personal bests of 2:04.79 for 800 meters, 4:09.00 for 1500 meters and 9:38.62 in the steeplechase.
