Emily Mackay, a rising star, has had a breakthru year in 2023. In February, she became the 100th American woman to go sub-4:30 in the Mile, clocking 4:26.09 indoors at Boston University’s ultra fast track, and third at the USA Indoor 3000m Championships. In June, she won two 1500m races, LA Grand Prix and Elliott Denman New Jersey Invitational, setting PRs 4:07.03 and 4:01.52.
At Binghamton University, she was a 5-time NCAA All-American (cross country, twice in indoor and outdoor track).
In high school, Mackay placed second in the 1500m at the 2015 New York State Outdoor Track Championships.
